SIDP priorities 2016-2017 UPDATED

Priority 1- To continue to raise standards in reading and increase the percentage of pupils achieving age related expectations at the end of key stage one. (This also includes increasing the percentage of pupils meeting the expected standard in the phonics screening at the end of year 1)
Priority 2- To raise standards in writing and increase the percentage of pupils working at the expected standard and at a greater depth at the end of key stage one. (This also includes increasing opportunities for writing and the improvement of  presentation across all curriculum areas.)
Priority 3 - To raise standards in maths and increase the percentage of pupils working at the expected standard and at a greater depth at the end of key stage one. (This also includes closing the gender gap)
Priority  4– To increase the percentage of pupils getting a good level of development or better at the end of the EYFS. (Close eye on physical development/ PSE/ Reading and writing)
Priority 5 – To develop and implement a professional development strategy to support teachers to improve outcomes for pupils.
